Henry Bourchier Osborne Savile was born on 5th May 1819. he was the 3rd son of Albany Savile who was an MP and lived in Devon. His mother was Eleanor Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Bourchier Wray 6th Bart. He died at the age of 98 in 1917.
